Tracy Cooley, DVM

Dr. Tracy Cooley was born in Cincinnati and raised in Hammond.  He graduated from Purdue University in 1981.  Dr. Cooley began working for his father, Dr. David Cooley, in 1983.  Twelve years later, he became owner of Cooley Animal Clinic when his father retired.  Dr. Cooley's special interests include skin and allergy problems, cancer medicine, and endocrine disorders (i.e. diabetes, thyroid, Cushing's disease). 

Dr. Cooley resides in Miller.  He is active in his community as President of the Gary Board of Health Commissioners.  Dr. Cooley is the co-founder of the annual Gallery Gallop footrace.  In his free time he enjoys golfing, attending local sporting events and theater at Steppenwolf.

 

 

Jennifer Barenie, DVM

Dr. Jennifer Barenie was born and raised in Robertsdale.  She is a 1995 graduate of Purdue University.  Dr. Barenie has been a veterinarian at Cooley Animal Clinic since 1999.  Her special interests are birds and pocket pets.

Dr. Barenie lives in Schererville with her husband, Paul and daughter, Jessica.  They have 4 cats  (Abby, Roxy, Ringo, and Miguel), a cockatiel named Muczka, and a tank of tropical fish.  Dr. Barenie enjoys photography, cross-stitching, gardening, and being a mom.  She also takes Tae Kwon Do lessons at The Old Firehouse in Gary. Currently she is a red-tipped blue belt, which is just over half way to a black belt!
