Tracy Cooley, DVM
Dr. Tracy Cooley's family moved from Cincinnati to Hammond in 1959. Dr. Cooley's father, a veterinarian, built Woodmar Animal Clinic soon thereafter. At a young age Dr. Cooley developed his passion for veterinary medicine working with his father. Both Dr.'s Cooley have practiced in the Calumet region for over 45 years. Dr. Cooley senior retired in 1994 and Dr. Tracy Cooley has owned the Cooley Animal Clinic in Highland ever since.
Dr. Cooley attended the Purdue Veterinary School, graduating in 1981. A few areas of special interest include skin and allergy problems, endocrine disorders (i.e. diabetes, thyroid, Cushings disease), orthopedic surgeries, and cancer medicine and surgery.
Dr. Cooley resides in Miller and has been active in the local health department and on the Humane Society board. His present interests include golf, local sports teams, and taking advantage of Chicago theater.

Melissa Dickinson, DVM
Dr. Melissa Dickinson joined Cooley Animal Clinic in December 2010. She graduated with a BA in Psychology from Denison University in Granville, Ohio in 1993. She earned her DVM degree in 2002 at the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Dickinson's interests include exotic animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and animal behavior.
Dr. Dickinson enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her family. She has written children's books for her nephew and niece! She has a husband, Eric, who works with computers. Dr. Dickinson has two cats named Marigold and Miss Lucy, a guinea pig named Miss Piggy, and a cockatiel named Dusty.
